Mike Tyson is known for many things. Boxer, heavyweight champion, convicted criminal, actor, the list goes on. But what you might not know is he’s also a gentle, loving pigeon caretaker.

Pigeon breeder is actually Tyson’s longest-held title. He’s been doing it since he was ten years old, and it actually began his fighting career. The story goes, that a kid Mike knew ripped the head off of one when he was a kid and this monstrous act spurred Tyson to fight the kid and win. He realized he had a talent for it. But he never forgot where he came from. At the end of the day, he’s a champion for birds.

Now he takes care of his pigeons on a ranch in Paradise Valley, apparently tending to over three-hundred and fifty of them. 

 Who knew? Iron Mike has a heart as soft and light as a feather.
